Kisoki throws off Bornu

Kano had paid tribute to Bornu since Abdullahi Burja.

Overview

Kano had paid tribute to Bornu since Abdullahi Burja. While Songhai and Bornu were torn by internal strife, Muhammad Kisoki marched into Bornu, then beat off the mai's counter-attack, ending Bornu's overlordship. The Kano Chronicle credits him with ruling “all Hausaland, east and west, north and south”.[1],[2]Medium confidence
