Privacy

HistoNaija has no accounts and asks for no personal information.

Visitor counts

Visits are counted with GoatCounter, which sets no cookies and does not track anyone across sites. It records the page, the referring site, the browser, the screen size and the country, and nothing that identifies a person.

Settings on your device

Your sound setting and a few view preferences are kept in your own browser’s storage. They never leave your device.

Advertising

Reading pages about peoples and kingdoms may show advertisements to help keep the site free. The map itself shows no third-party ads. Ads may be served by Google, which uses cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first.

You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings.

Sponsored notices from local businesses are plain links, marked as sponsored, and track nothing.
